Basketball: TMS boys will play at home and TMS girls will travel to Sabine on Thursday, January 5. Games will start at 5 pm. TMS Girls will play in the District Tournament in Sabine on Saturday, January 7. Talent Show: Want to be in the TMS Talent Show on January 13? Pick up a registration form in the office! Registration forms due by December 16.

Basketball: Congratulations 7th grade boys on your VICTORY over Winona! There will be a Maroon and White Night of Basketball on Monday, December 12, starting @ 5:15 pm. TMS B-teams will scrimmage each other. TMS boys will play at home and TMS girls will travel to Sabine on Thursday, January 5. Games will start at 5 pm. UIL Academic Contest: TMS placed 3rd in the District Meet in Arp this week. Students brought home 43 individual medals and 10 1st place team medals! Students will return to school on Wednesday, January 4, 2017. 8th Grade Field Trip: On December 15 the 8th grade class will be taking a field trip to the Freedom Museum, in Bullard, and Camp Ford in Tyler. The cost for this trip is $4, due by December 9. Students will need a sack lunch on the day of the trip. Talent Show: Want to be in the TMS Talent Show on January 13? Pick up a registration form in the office! Registration forms due by December 16. Band News: Please mark your calendars for the upcoming Christmas Concert with the 6th, 7th and 8th grade bands on Tuesday, December 13th, at 7:00 p.m. in the Troup High School Auditorium. All students should dress in very "dressy" attire. Please, no blue jeans. Young ladies may wear slacks with a holiday top, a dress, or leggings with a long top. Young men should wear slacks with a shirt and tie or a nice tucked in shirt or a dressy sweater. Santa hats and reindeer antlers are welcome! The Troup Band Boosters will also host a silent dessert auction in the back of the auditorium. Please bring a festively wrapped homemade dessert to auction as a band fund raiser. See you there!!! GOOD LUCK to the students who are entering the All-Region Auditions this Friday, Dec. 9th at Rusk High School. The students have been given a letter with details and a parent consent form to fill in and return to Mrs. Wilson. 7th and 8th grade band students are beginning to sign up for the Region Solo and Ensemble Contest which takes place in Lindale on Feb 3rd or 4th (date determined soon). Students will be transported by school bus to perform a solo and/or in a group for a judge. All students should have their music to take home to practice before the Christmas Holidays.
