Basketball: Congratulations 8th grade boys on your VICTORY over West Rusk!
TMS girls will play at home and TMS boys will travel to Winona on Monday, December 5. Games will start at 5 pm. Early Release: Students will be released at 12:30 pm on Friday, December 16. 8th Grade Field Trip: On December 15 the 8th grade class will be taking a field trip to the Freedom Museum, in Bullard, and Camp Ford in Tyler. The cost for this trip is $4, due by December 9. Students will need a sack lunch on the day of the trip. Christmas Holiday: There will be no school December 19 - January 3. Students will return to school on Wednesday, January 4, 2017. Band News: Please mark your calendars for the upcoming Christmas Concert with the 6th, 7th and 8th grade bands on Tuesday, December 13th, at 7:00 p.m. in the Troup High School Auditorium. All students should dress in very "dressy" attire. Please, no blue jeans. Young ladies may wear slacks with a holiday top, a dress, or leggings with a long top. Young men should wear slacks with a shirt and tie or a nice tucked in shirt or a dressy sweater. Santa hats and reindeer antlers are welcome! The Troup Band Boosters will also host a silent dessert auction in the back of the auditorium. Please bring a festively wrapped homemade dessert to auction as a band fund raiser. See you there!!! ALSO, several students have signed up to learn the All-Region Music and Scales. Auditions will take place on Friday afternoon and evening at Rusk High School on December 9th. We will transport by school bus to and from Rusk. Must be eligible to audition. Only a month left to practice and get help from Mr. Smith or Mrs. Wilson.
